Terms and Conditions – Simply Cakes By Caroline in Mirfield & Huddersfield Area
All sales made by Simply Cakes are subject to the following terms and conditions.
Nothing contained within these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Please read carefully and if you do not understand anything please do not hesitate to ask.
Cake Prices & Ordering
The price for the order will be confirmed at the time of booking.An email will be sent confirming all the details which you will need to confirm you have received. All orders require a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 50% of the total cost.
All deposits become due when the order has been placed and details checked on the email. All orders are deemed to have been accepted only when a deposit is paid.
Payments for Cake Orders
Payments may be made by:
Current Account Cheque (this will only be accepted if I have at least 14 working days to clear it)
Final payments are made on collection of the cake by cash only.
In the event that any payment is subsequently declined, the order will not be completed or released until alternative funding arrangements have been agreed and payment is made in full. Subsequent completion of the order will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Simply cakes accepts no responsibility for any loss howsoever caused or for non-delivery under these circumstances. The customer will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure.
Alterations to cake, cup cake & cake pop orders
Your cake is very important to us. Please take time to check your email carefully and let me know immediately if changes are needed. It is your responsibility to advise the company of any alterations to the original order. Simply cakes reserves the right to increase a quoted fee in the event the customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist customers, please not that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.
Collection of Cake orders
Your order may be collected from 56 Bracken Close, Mirfield, WF14 0HA at a pre-arranged time, which will be included in your confirmation email. Please be aware that once you have collected the cake and left the premises you are responsible for any issues that occur to the cake from this point forward. You will have to sign a confirmation form on collection to verify you have accepted these terms and conditions
Cancellation/refunds of Cake Orders
As your cake is reserved solely for you and certain components for your cake may be ordered weeks in advance, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled.
Within 2 weeks of the collection date – 50% of the balance due
Within 1 week of the collection date – 85% of the balance due
Within 2 days of the collection date – 100% of the balance due.
Please note a 50% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is due on all cakes.
Please be aware that it is recommended that you consume the cake within 3 days of collection.
Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings. Raw materials used may not be free from dairy, wheat and gluten. Allergy information is provided with all cake orders.
